The Level 4 Master of Agave Spirits Diploma Program is the pinnacle achievement offered by the Agave Spirits Institute. Program Structure

  • Weeklong Residency in Oaxaca
    Immersive lectures, field visits, peer presentations, and oral exam prep.

  • Independent Capstone Project
    Select a thesis topic aligned with your expertise—ranging from terroir research to trade education—and submit for review.

  • Oral Defense & Peer Review
    Present and defend your capstone before a panel of instructors, peers, and mezcaleros.

  • Certification Awarded Upon Completion
    Graduates receive the official Master of Agave Spirits diploma, pin, and public registry listing.

Enrollment Requirements

  • Location: Oaxaca, Mexico

  • Prerequisite: Level 3 Certified Agave Spirits Advisor

  • Application Review Required: Due to the advanced nature of the program, all applicants must submit a proposal and resume for approval.

  • Capstone must be completed within 90 days post-residency.
