About Us

Briana Pope-Pettis is the owner and founder of The Epicure. Briana started her career as a professional cook at the age of 17. After spending a few years in the back of the house, she realized quickly that that wasn't where she wanted to be. At the age of 21, she discovered the world of wine and decided to jump in head first. She is currently a Certified Sommelier and a WSET Diploma student as well. In addition to wine, she is also certified in sake and beer as well. Her goal is to become the first Black Woman to hold the title of both Master Sommelier and Master of Wine. 

In 2022, she created The Epicure as a way to share her passion with others and help demystify the world of food and beverage for everyone. At The Epicure, we are passionate about all things food and beverage! We are dedicated to providing educational resources to help our customers learn more about the world of food and beverage.
